GET TO KNOW MRS. MROZEK
The art room has always been a sanctuary for me. It has been a place where I could be myself, use my creativity and express my feelings and my imagination. My love for art started when I was young and blossomed into a dedication that is seen in my teaching.
I can still remember my mother taking me to The Art Institute of Chicago on Saturday mornings and my father sitting at the kitchen table with me, teaching me how to draw. "Draw what you see, not what you know," he would always say. I find myself saying these exact words to my students.
While attending high school, drawing and painting were the basic art classes that were taught. My hunger for knowledge inspired me to dig deeper. I then attended The University of Iowa, where my eyes were opened to the diverse aspects of art. Try new medium and expanding my skills as an artist was always a goal I had for myself while attending school which is why I am determined to incorporate a variety of materials and techniques into my classroom.
I look forward to working with you and your family in this partnership! Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
